A message from the Head of Secretariat

On behalf of the Secretariat of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres (IAPTC), it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 27th IAPTC Annual Conference. As the Head of the Secretariat, I am honored to be a part of this esteemed and exceptional gathering of experts and practitioners in the field of peacekeeping.

The IAPTC was established with the objective of promoting peace and stability worldwide through training and capacity building, and this conference is a testament to our commitment to this mission. During the conference we will engage in thought-provoking discussions, exchange experiences and best practices, forge new partnerships and explore innovative solutions to the challenges facing peacekeeping today.

As we have embarked on our second mandate as the secretariat of the IAPTC, we look forward to continuing to provide advice and support to the IAPTC Presidency and Host, support the organization of Annual Conferences, work closely with the Executive Committee to implement a shared vision and ensure that all objectives are achieved, and most importantly, safeguard the IAPTC's institutional memory. We are committed to continue serving the IAPTC community at large and keeping all its members informed about our operations and activities.

I am confident that this year’s conference will provide the opportunity for enriching discussions and valuable perspectives as we delve into options for improving our peacekeeping capabilities and promoting enduring peace. Together, through our cooperative efforts and partnerships, we can make substantial strides towards achieving our common mission.

Once again, I extend a warm welcome to all of you, and I wish you a productive and enjoyable conference.
